  1999 was bursting at the seams with groundbreaking films, many of which left audiences craving an immediate rewatch. David Fincher's Fight Club certainly leaves an impression, even if it's not the one you expected based on the film's title. Do you know about Tyler Durden?

  Fight Club flipped the idea of a reliable narrator on its head, luring us into a highly stylized, underground world where characters were finally free from their boring reality. Hyper subjectivity, unapologetic characters and a kinetic pace helped this film stand out from the pack. The bold use of sound elevated things even further, exploring the deepest recesses of the narrator's mind.

  The film went on to be nominated for one Academy Award for Best Sound Effects Editing. In spite of a limited audience in theaters, the DVD went on to become one of the largest selling home media items in the history of 20th Century Fox. Fight Club's cultural impact has only grown in the years since its release.

  To celebrate 25 years of this groundbreaking film, it's time to break the first two rules of Fight Club. Let's talk about it!
