Independent films provide an incredible opportunity to bring new artistic voices to the forefront. As the next generation of filmmakers builds these stories, where does sound factor into the creative process? How can sound help strengthen the stories that are being told at every budget level? And what does effective communication look like between a sound team and a director or producer for a successful festival film?

Join us for a special in-person event in Austin, Texas to discuss all of this with sound editors and directors who are premiering their projects at SXSW! We'll be joined by:

Parking Details:
There are plenty of metered spots around and near campus. There are also a number of capital metro buses that will get you to campus. There are several nearby paid surface lots. If you would like to park in a garage, San Antonio Garage (SAG) is the closest. Parking in the garage is $18/day. If you are concerned about parking, you can also consider getting dropped off or taking a rideshare.
